Since our founding in 1986, MAG Cosmetics GmbH stands for quality, innovation, and responsibility in the cosmetics industry. As a private label manufacturer and part of the family-owned haircare.group based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, our mission is to bring individual visions for haircare and beauty brands “Made in Germany” to life.
Our contribution to sustainable development
Sustainability in its facets plays a key role in our daily decisions as well as in the planning of future projects. Our responsibility goes beyond developing and manufacturing high-quality products – it also includes the mindful use of resources and transparent relationships with our partners. Respect and mindfulness are at the core of everything we do.
The haircare.group has defined three central fields of action for sustainability: People, Environment, and Assortment. We align ourselves with these and place particular emphasis on the areas of raw materials, energy, and waste.
People
People are at the center of everything we do. We promote individual development, diversity, and a culture of respectful collaboration within our company. The needs of our partners are the foundation of our actions. We offer our employees opportunities to grow in line with their individual strengths and potential. With our suppliers, we cultivate long-term, trust-based partnerships.
Environment
As a contract manufacturer, we are aware of our responsibility for the environment. Accordingly, within the scope of our role in product formulation development, we implement targeted measures to reduce our ecological footprint. All our development and production takes place locally and is subject to the highest standards and regulations. Responsible handling of all materials used is a matter of course for us - from the raw material to the finished product.
Assortment
We see environmentally conscious product development as a key competitive factor and strive to contribute actively. We shape our product and service portfolio to identify, avoid, or minimize potential negative impacts on people and the environment as early as possible. Our portfolio is continuously developed with both social and ecological considerations in mind. We also actively advise our partners on more sustainable alternatives.

Commit for Our Planet
Since 2025, MAG Cosmetics GmbH has been part of the European industry initiative Commit for Our Planet Europe, launched by Cosmetics Europe. The aim of the initiative is to reduce the environmental footprint of the cosmetics and personal care industry in Europe through joint efforts—particularly by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving packaging solutions, and promoting responsible environmental practices.
Our company is at the beginning of its sustainability journey. As a contract manufacturer in the cosmetics industry, we are committed within the framework of the initiative to gradually reducing our environmental footprint and strengthening our social responsibility. With limited resources, we focus on realistic and meaningful first steps, particularly in the areas of energy consumption and responsible sourcing.
